Which language course do I choose?

It is necessary to know that each school offers a range of different language courses but generally, there are, on the one hand
  • language courses which lead to an official exam
and, on the other hand
  • language courses which lead to a certificate of attendance at language classes given by the school
The difference is that the former are internationally recognised whilst the latter have an indicative value of the level you have reached during your language study trip.

In addition to this first distinction, there are several types of courses which lead to different types of language knowledge, going from standard courses to ultra-specialised courses.

Good to know
:
If you want to take a language course in order to sit an official exam, it is often necessary to allow for more than a month of intensive classes and to travel abroad at a specific time during the year.

On the other hand, language courses which lead to a diploma can be taken for a shorter duration. The diploma is often presented by the school following a test which summarises what has been learned during the classes taken.
