Where do I want to live during my language study trip?

Travelling abroad on a language study trip means living in and adapting to a new type of accommodation during a certain length of time. It is up to you to decide whether you want to feel at home or,on the contrary, have a complete change of scenery during your language study trip abroad.

There is a wide choice of types of accommodation
  • host family
  • campus
  • apartment
  • student residence
  • hotel
  • youth hostel
  • in the teacher's home
  • you already have accommodation
and varies from one place to the next and from one school to the next.

You need to keep in mind that your accommodation abroad is a place where you can learn and practise the language as much as at the school. As such, it is an important part of your immersion in the chosen language and culture of your language study trip.

It is also the place which you can return to after classes and during your free time. Therefore, you need to choose carefully according to your independence, lifestyle, your needs and your budget!
