DALF

DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française)

The DALF exam is made up of 4 units (B1 to B4), it follows on from the DELF. Holders of the DALF are exempted from the language entrance exams for French universities.

B1 : Standard language reading comprehension and written expression
You will sit two written exams, one following the other. One consists of writing a summary of a text and the other consists of writing short answers relating to a specific document.

B2 : Standard language listening comprehension
You will listen twice to a text of three minutes, after which you must answer questions based on it.

B3 : Specialised language reading comprehension and written expression
You will be asked to write the summary of a collection of documents (topic chosen beforehand) as well as to answer 5 questions based on the same document.

B4 : Specialised language listening comprehension and oral expression
You will have to make a personal presentation on a subject of your chosen speciality.
