AIL (Accademia Italiana di Lingua Firenze)

ACCADEMIA ITALIANA DI LINGUA FIRENZE

The Accademia Italiana di Lingua (AIL) is an association of schools, institutions and national and foreign experts, working in the domain of teaching the Italian language to foreigners and in the domain of certification.
The particularity of the AIL is that it favours the aspects of communication in everyday life and in the business domain. In each of the exam centres, the AIL organises preparation courses for each exam level.

DELI Elementary Diploma of the Italian Language « Firenze » AIL ;
Necessary preparation time: approx. 100 to 120 hours.

DILI Intermediate Diploma of the Italian Language « Firenze » AIL ;
Necessary preparation time: approx. 240 to 300 hours

DILC Business Diploma of the Italian Language « Firenze » AIL- intermediate level:
Necessary preparation time: approx. 240 to 300 hours, including a minimum of 40 hours of specific preparation of business language

DALI Advanced Diploma of the Foreign Language « Firenze » AIL ;
Necessary preparation time: approx. 450 to 500 hours

DALC Business Diploma of the Italian Language « Firenze » AIL – advanced level:
Necessary preparation time: approx. 500 to 550 hours, including a minimum of 80 hours of specific preparation of business language

These exams take place four times a year, on the same day, in several exams centres distributed across the world. The tests are identical for everyone and the correction of written copies, as well as the final evaluation, are carried out in the main headquarters in Florence in order to guarantee uniformity in judgement.
